Artist Mike Shindel of Blade and Hammer is an award-winning bladesmith & a blacksmith. Handcrafted custom one-of-a-kind high-performance blades, chef’s knives, folders, swords, axes & hammers. These blades are all made how they were made thousands of years ago by shaping a red hot piece of steel with a hammer on an anvil. Modern technology like a power hammer, a hydraulic press, a mill, a lathe and a grinder among other tools are used to streamline & further enhance the knifemaking process. Everything is done “in-house” including Damascus, heat treat, wood & leatherwork.
